General Information

The chant is accompanied by Oranges and Lemons, a traditional children's rhyme/song. Gary Carpenter says: "I wrote the 'Chop, Chop' sequence, using Oranges and Lemons as the basis for a faux-Scottish violin jig."

Recorded live according to Brown but Gary Carpenter says this isn't so.

"Here comes the chopper to chop off your head" is the second to last line of Oranges and Lemons. And instead of Chop Chop Chop... it goes "Chip chop, chip chop, the last man's dead.'"
